PDO Thread Lift

What is PDO Thread lift?

If you have looked in the mirror and used your finger to push your skin cheek back towards your hairline, you may want to consider a PDO thread lift. PDO thread lift is a great treatment to non-surgically lift tissues to improve jouling, nasolabial folds, and sagging skin in the cheeks and neck. It can also be used to beautify patients by lifting the brows, creating more cheek contour, and improving the jawline.

PDO threads are dissolvable sutures that use barbed technology to help lift skin and reapproximate tissues. The results of this treatment are very natural and are able to reverse years off a patient within minutes, creating a younger and rejuvenated self.

Who is a good candidate for this treatment?

Individuals of all ages are great candidates for this treatment. Younger patients in their 20’s may seek this treatment to further beautify and emphasize certain facial features like the cheeks and brows. Patients in their 30’s and 40’s may seek this treatment to rejuvenate and slow their aging progressions. Patients in their 50’s+ may seek this treatment as a preemptive way to assess if they will want to continue with a surgical facelift or use it as an adjunct to their facelifts to help the results last longer.

Please seek a consultation with our Nurse Angella to assess if you are a good candidate for this procedure and to discuss realistic expectations with this treatment.

How long do results last?

The results for this treatment can last 1-2 years. The PDO threads dissolve naturally after 4-6 months from the day of treatment and the body produces collagen to replace the threads. Patients can repeat this treatment every 9 months for the optimal results and lift.

Are there any scarring associated with PDO thread lift?

No, there is no scarring with the PDO thread lift treatment. There may be some injection points from the thread lift that may appear slightly red for the first 3-4 days. However, once fully healed, the injection points will be invisible and there will be no scars from this treatment.

Although thread lift is a very common procedure, it is important to go to a practitioner who is skilled and knowledgeable about this procedure. Typically, there are very little complications with PDO thread lifts but this is dependent on the skill level of the aesthetic provider. Nurse Angella is an expert PDO Thread Lift Practitioner and continues to perfect her skill with continuous education and training on PDO Threads.
