Upper lateral cartilage

\ ˈə-pər ˈla-tə-rəl ˈkär-tə-lij \

These are paired triangular-shaped cartilage sections found on the side of the nose. They attach firmly between the nasal septal cartilage and the nasal bone on the right and left side of the nose. These cartilages have a large effect on nasal airflow and must be managed effectively during rhinoplasty.
