Snap test\ ˈsnap ˈtest \ |
A specific test in the office assessing the laxity of the skin in the lower eyelid. It involves manipulation of the tissue and assessment of how quickly it returns to normal, or if the patient must blink to return to normal. An acceptable time for the snap test is 1-2 seconds. If it is excessively delayed the patient may require a lid tightening procedure.
